过去十年，朝鲜黑客窃取了逾 60 亿美元的加密货币，没有其它国家能与之匹敌。调查人员说，朝鲜的黑客既耐心又毫无顾忌。为了入侵一家企业的网络，黑客会仔细查看该公司员工的 Facebook 和 Instagram 页面，编故事诱骗这些员工点击钓鱼链接。部分朝鲜黑客甚至成为了员工，欺骗美国公司聘请他们作为远程 IT 工作人员，从而获得网络访问权限。一旦窃取到加密货币，黑客会立即将其分散，然后保持低调，等待数个月甚至数年将窃取的加密货币兑换为传统货币。今年 2 月，朝鲜黑客从加密货币交易所 Bybit 窃取到了 15 亿美元，这是至今金额最高的加密货币盗窃案。
哈佛陈曾熙公共卫生学院的研究人员在《Nature Communications》期刊上发表研究报告，调查了美国最大的 34 家比特币矿场的耗电量及其环境影响。使用矿机挖比特币需要消耗大量电力，因此大部分矿场都建在靠近发电厂的地方。研究发现，从 2022 年中到 2023 年中，这 34 家矿场消耗了 32.3 太瓦时（terawatt-hours）的电力，比整个洛杉矶还要多 33%，其中 85% 的电力来自燃烧化石燃料的火电站。火电站释放出的 PM2.5 颗粒影响了周边 190 万居民，其中纽约市和休斯顿等四个地区的居民面临的健康风险最大。
小行星 2024 YR4 不太可能在 2032 年 12 月 22 日撞击地球，但更有可能撞击月球。NASA 利用韦伯太空望远镜的红外线观测数据，更新了对 小行星 2024 YR4 大小估计。最新结果显示，2024 YR4 的直径约为 53 至 67 米，约相当于一栋 10 层楼高的建筑物。NASA 同时更新了 2024 YR4 未来可能撞击月球的机率。原先评估撞击月球的机率为 1.7%，最新数据已将此数值上调至 3.8%。尽管如此，仍有高达 96.2% 的机率显示这颗小行星将擦过月球，不会发生撞击。即便发生极少数机率下的撞击事件，也不会对月球的轨道造成任何实质影响。随着小行星逐渐远离地球，到了 4 月中旬之后，地面望远镜将难以继续追踪 2024 YR4。韦伯太空望远镜已计划于 5 月再度观测这颗小行星，持续监测其动态并进一步确认其轨道参数。

马普心理语言学研究所的研究人员对 9169 名瑞典双胞胎样本进行了分析，发现个体在音乐享受上的差异有相当一部分是由遗传因素引起的。研究人员使用“音乐奖励敏感性”（Music Reward Sensitivity）来描述个体对音乐所带来的愉悦感和奖励体验的敏感程度。9169 名年龄在 37 岁至 64 岁之间的瑞典双胞胎参与了问卷调查。双胞胎研究是研究遗传和环境因素对特定形状或行为影响的强大工具，这种方法不需要直接进行基因测序，而是通过比较同卵双胞胎（基因几乎完全相同）和异卵双胞胎（基因相似性约为 50%）之间的相似性来推断遗传因素的作用。研究发现，双胞胎在音乐奖励敏感性上的差异中有 54% 可以用基因差别来解释，这表明享受音乐的能力有一大部分来自遗传。除此之外，音乐奖励敏感性的遗传影响部分独立于一般奖励敏感性和音乐感知能力，这表明享受音乐与“听懂”音乐等认知过程可能使用了不同的神经机制。
微软 CTO Kevin Scott 预测五年内 95% 的代码将由 AI 生成。他表示，AI 不会取代软件工程师，但会改变他们的角色。“这并不意味着 AI 在做软件工程工作……作者仍然是人类。” Scott 称开发者的工作将从直接编写代码转变为通过提示和指令指导 AI，“我们从输入大师（编程语言）转变为提示大师（AI 协调者）。”
